Short Description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced PYP Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher with strong expertise in English to join our primary school team.
The successful candidate will create an engaging, inquiry-driven and student-centred learning environment, with a strong focus on English language, literacy, communication, critical thinking and conceptual understanding.
Job Description
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate and inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework.
- Take responsibility for the overall teaching and learning of a Grade 3 class.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary and comprehension skills.
- Design meaningful English learning engagements that encourage creativity, communication and critical thinking.
- Integrate English learning across Units of Inquiry and transdisciplinary learning.
- Develop students' ability to express ideas clearly through written, verbal and multimedia communication.
- Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Promote student agency, voice, choice and ownership of learning.
- Integrate appropriate technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in school events, professional development, workshops and co-curricular activities.
- Demonstrate commitment to the IB Learner Profile, international-mindedness and student wellbeing.
