Job Description

The Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher at H-FARM International School collaborates with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment. The role involves designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs and PEPs) to ensure students with diverse learning needs, including learning, emotional, behavioral, or communication difficulties, dyscalculia, dyslexia, and ADHD, have equitable access to the IB curriculum across all school levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support and teach students individually, in small groups, or within the whole class.

2. Offer emotional guidance to help students build confidence, self-esteem, and social skills.

3. Guide and support parents of students with special educational needs.

4. Work alongside classroom teachers to ensure individual needs are met by:

• Promoting an inclusive learning approach across all activities.

• Tailoring the curriculum to specific learning needs.

• Preparing and adapting teaching methods and educational materials.

• Planning and executing differentiated learning activities.

• Incorporating assistive tools and technologies into daily learning.

• Assessing student progress and providing regular feedback to students and parents.

• Ensuring the full implementation and tracking of IEPs and PEPs.

• Assisting students during key transitions to MYP, DP, or other schools.

• Evaluating prospective students during the admissions process.

Requirements:

• Degree in Special Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, or a related field with SEN qualification.

• High proficiency in English (written and spoken); Italian is a plus.

• Background in SEN support, ideally within IB or international school environments.

• Expertise in curriculum differentiation, assistive technologies, and strong interpersonal skills.

Contract Type: Collaboration Contract (Contratto di Collaborazione Coordinata e Continuativa - Co.Co.Co.).

Working Hours: Variable / Flexible, based on agreed weekly hours.
